Compulsion Games has acknowledged that having a black woman protagonist is still an anomaly among video games, and worked diligently to ensure that their repesentation of Hazel was accurate by filling out the team with Black women and women of color. She's sarcastic with a dry sense of humor that serves as a defense mechanism after growing up at odds with her mother and pinned in place by societal injustices that can wreak a unique form of havoc on rural folk. Compulsion Games has gone above and beyond to create a character in Hazel that feels rounded and real. The heroine, Hazel, is outwardly confident with a wry sense of humor with a history firmly rooted in a small rural town that the rest of the world has forgotten. Weavers are entrusted with magic that is powerful enough to mend broken bonds and spirits, and Hazel will use her newfound abilities to confront dangerous creatures while also untangling the webs of her own family's past. Set in the deep south, South of Midnight is a coming of age tale about a young woman named Hazel who is designated to become a Weaver following a catastrophic disaster in her hometown. ![]() While the trailer may have been light on details and heavy on intrigue, a post from the official Xbox blog provided further insight into Compulsion Games' new third-person action-adventure title. After the animals scurry off, the woman smiles and pulls out a device that activates a magic spell before the trailer cuts to the title. The trailer features a young woman asking raccoons and rabbits and if they've seen a sneaky looking monster with teeth like knives as a mysterious old man plays guitar. South of Midnight features a stop motion claymation art style and features a story set in the deep south. There should be several tabs at the top, click on " Advanced." In this tab, the top section should say " Performance." Click the button that says "Settings." Ok, basically what you do is you right click "My Computer", click " Properties", then on the panel on the left, select " Advanced System Settings." Basically it told me something about "windows data execution prevention (DEP)" being activated and it being related to causing Access Violations, so yea I googled how to fix the offending thing and now Gothic 1 works! Here's how I did it (Note: I'm using Windows 7 64 Bit) Nevermind, I managed to get it to work! Been searching for any fixes, I downloaded a Gothic international Steam fix, and ironically it wasn't the program itself that fixed the problem, BUT the error message. User: Yij, CPUType: 586, Mem: 1024 MB total, 1024 MB free I've tried all sorts (running as an Administrator, compatibility mode, disabling antivirus) to no avail. The game menu loads fine, but if I start a new game, it crashes with this message below. I've installed both Playerkits (1.08 and 1.28 in that order) than the G1 Classic System Pack 1.7. I can't seem to get Gothic 1 to run properly.
